Merlin Season Finale with Morgana and Helios - TV reviewTonight on the Syfy channel, was the conclusion of the two-part season finale of Merlin, titled “The Sword in the Stone” is just that, Arthur (Bradley James) finding Excalibur and becoming that which he is destined to become.

But first, he has to muster up through the tyranny, deceit and other factions of bad news that is at Morgana’s (the beautiful Katie McGrath) disposal.  And at his side, is the much fabled Merlin, played by Colin Morgan.

Merlin and Arthur are on the run from their pursuers, and Merlin ends up summoning the dragon (John Hurt) for some assistance.  Merlin is forced to kill Agravaine (Nathaniel Parker), and it seems to give Merlin pause for but a moment.

Morgana continues her holding onto Camelot, and while on the run, Arthur starts to doubt himself.

'Merlin' season 4 finale review

Merlin takes counsel from the dragon and gets an idea to help Arthur shake the doubt.  He shows Arthur Excalibur, in the rock, telling him the history of how it got there.  A story that Arthur never knew.  And around the sword, were the citizens of Camelot, having found their way there.

In the upcoming episodes of Merlin, Being Human and Lost Girl on Syfy, Merlin finds himself struck down in a conflict between some men and the King’s men.  Sally, in Being Human, scares the boys because she’s looking so pale and in the sexy sci-fi series, Lost Girl, Bo has a chance to learn about her past when a Dark Fae with a problem comes calling.
