I was asked a question in my comment zone on an article about Michael Weatherly, of NCIS fame, here on the Cinema Static section on Brusimm.com. The question left behind was the following:
“Does Michael Weatherly have an ex-wife that plays on the Young and the Restless?”
First, to deal with one of your questions Carmen, yes. Michael Weatherly was married to Amelia Heinle. Amelia Heinle has played Mia Saunders on the soap opera, All My Children, from 2001 to 2004. She’s also played Victoria Newman and all her name variations on The Young and the Restless from 2005 to 2011.
Weatherly and Newman had a son in 1996, named August Manning.

While digging this up, I found out a few interesting things about Michael Weatherly I thought I’d toss out here for your intellectual digestion… I mean there’s stuff here that I either didn’t know or forgot I knew!
Michael is the son of Michael Manning Weatherly Sr., who was (is?) the American importer for the Swiss Army Knife!
The lucky bugger was also dated Rachel Hunter and was engaged at one time to Jessica Alba, who called him her first love. It was suggested in an interview with her that Michael was… the first guy, that, well, you know. Dude, talk about blazing coveted trails!

In the closing episodes of the eighth season of NCIS, titled “Baltimore,” “Swan Song” & “Pyramid,” they’ve done it again and pulled out some stops to make this yet another memorable season closer. The team is on the tail of the “Port to Port” serial killer, which we learn is former Lt. Jonas Kobb (Kerr Smith). But that information came with a heavy price.
Kobb gives Mike Franks (Muse Watson) his last good fight, and Franks dies by his hand. But Franks didn’t have long to live anyway, so it would seem he went out on his own terms. I was as sad as the NCIS team itself to see Franks leave. But Franks’ funeral was as touching, to see Gibbs (Mark Harmon) handy wood work adorning his coffin.
Ziva (Cote de Pablo) uncharacteristically finds herself kidnapped and held prisoner by Kobb. But it was again, all a ruse. The team goes after Ziva and Kobb gets what he wants… inside NCIS to get closer to who he thinks is to blame for the program where he himself was trained, trianed to become the best killing machine ever.
In the end, Kobb is stopped by the team. It takes the entire team to stop him, but I think there was a snag in the plot.
Kobb wsa a very methodical, well planned out and plotted character. He was the impossible criminal to catch. But then his getting caught seemed a wee bit more simple than I thought. He showed up at Gibbs’ house, but killed Franks. He let himself get caught to get inside NCIS, and though he manages to wrangle three of the people he needed to kill, he is taken down.

When you watched last week’s episode of NCIS, titled “One Last Score,” did you notice anything different? I felt like the dialog was a bit quicker between characters and the banter seemed a bit more in-depth also. At least I thought it was. Then I found out that this episode was directed by Michael Weatherly (Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo).
This episode of NCIS was his directorial debut and I thought it was a great episode for Michael Weatherly to tackle and it had a lot of elements to it!
Then there was this new, inquisitive agent that showed up, NCIS Special Agent Erica Jane “EJ” Barrett (Sarah Jane Morris). Man, was she inquisitive or what? It was like a meerkat popping up out of its hole and adding her opinions!
If you’re wondering why we were so focused on Barrett, in case you missed it, she and DiNozzo might just be interested in each other and she will be a piece of the end of season story arc that’s coming up.
And yes, that women’s prison motto on the wall was something that Michael Weatherly had to have in the scenes… ‘She who plants weeds cannot expect to pick flowers.’ I actually did find it to be an interesting quote and noticed how often it showed up. He also directed the ending car chase in a sort of homage to the Steve McQueen movie, Bullitt.

(L-R) Michael Weatherly, Mark Harmon and Sean Murray in NCIS
This last week saw the scripted crime drama NCIS actually beat out all the reality TV shows execpt one, if you can call the NFL a reality program, though luckily, it’s a sport so we don’t need to label it that! NCIS had a small boost in viewership from the previous week…
The big jump in viewers was CSI, with an increase of almost 14% from the week before and CSI: Miami, heartily surviving Sunday night and having a 13% increase in viewers. Detroit 187 also saw a great increase in traffic, at around 12%.
Though I seem to like Law & Order: Los Angeles, almost 14% fewer viewers did.
Smallville did well for The CW with just over 3 M viewers, and a huge 27% increase in viewers, as Supernatural also pulled in over 23% more viewers than the previous Friday night airing.
Of the top 15 shows, 6 of them are on Sundays, while Thursday & Tues each have 3 slots in that top-15.

Despite reported salaray disputes over on the CBS crime drama, NCIS, Michael Weatherly is returning for NCIS’s 7th season as the ever lovable and yet annoying Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo, per Deadline Hollywood.
“DiNozzo!!!” (You know you read that with the sound of Gibbs yelling it out, didn’t you?)
I can’t imagine NCIS going on without its core cast, even if Sean Murray, who plays Probee McGee, is still in negotiations.
What I do worry about is actors pricing themselves out of a show. If the cast gets too expensive, the show can become a threatened production. There’s only so much a network can take. This year at the upfronts, CBS reportedly pulled in over $2 billion from advertisers to keep their hit network running for the 2010 / 2011 season!

Right now, the news on the street is that Michael Weatherly, who plays Anthony DiNozzo on NCIS, has yet to have signed a contract for the next season. Add to that his own statement about this season’s NCIS finale being a Gibbs-centric finale and that it will be dramatic has everyone wondering.
He has equated this season to season 2 when Caitlin died and that if you’ve been paying attention this season, you’d see things building up.
But I don’t see anything anywhere about Weatherly and future plans for anything but NCIS. That doesn’t necessarily mean anything… but still, usually some kind of news gets out on various things.

Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva (Cote de Pablo) and flying to Paris in the January 26th episode of NCIS… and though they are put up in the same hotel room, you have to wonder, don’t you? Will something happen? Is “it” still there?
Exec producer Shane Brennan says “It’s a long road back.”
Speaking of Tony, keep your eye out for his father on tonight’s episode of NCIS! Yep, Robert Wagner makes a return trip to the role of the poor guy who had to deal with Tony growing up!
sources: EW, Great piece on TV Guide with Wagner.
If Robert Wagner brings that snarky, intelligent charisma I enjoy from some of his roles to NCIS, then this is going to be the perfect casting.
In NCIS’s 150th episode, Robert Wagner will appear in the role of Tony’s, I mean Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo’s father!
That seems so perfect. With how Michael Weatherly portrays Tony, I am so looking forward to this!
The 150th episode of NCIS will air in January of 2010. I can’t wait!

Pauley Perrette, who plays Abby Sciuto on everyone’s favorite weekly ratings winner, NCIS, has joined a mega cast of stars for The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later.
The performance will benefit the Matthew Shepard Foundation which promotes anti-violence toward the gay and lesbian community.
This is a sequel to The Laramie Project. It was based on the story of the various reactions people had in Laramie, Wyo., after a 21-year-old gay college student named Shepard was murdered in 1998.
This sequel revisits the people a decade later and portrays an interview with one of Shepard’s killers.
Perrette will be joined by NCIS co-star Michael Weatherly, Jim Parsons & Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory), Lisa Edelstein (House), Julie Benz (Dexter), Zachary Quinto (Heroes, Star Trek) and Christian Clemenson.
An awesome collection of folk and an awesome purpose!
