Hey gang, now that we’re going through some Misha Collins withdrawals with Cas no longer showing up in the CW’s Supernatural like he used to, well, we’re waiting and waiting to hear about his next TV appearance!
I found it!
Misha Collins is set to guest star in the CW TV show, Ringer. (Ringer stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kristoffer Polaha, Ioan Gruffudd).
Misha will be playing the role of Dylan. Dylan is someone from the two sisters past and is the reason there was a wedge driven between the two sisters.
Over on TV Line they were chatting about Castiel’s (Misha Collins) “event” that took place in last Friday’s episode where he… (If you saw the episode of Supernatural, you know where I’m going. If not, I won’t spoil it for you.)
But because of what’s chatted about here, there may be spoilery info following suit! So tread carefully!
Now previously in May, the news about Misha Collinsrole on Supernatural wasn’t going away, but that he would be on the series in a limited capacity. In fact, back then, the news TV Line had was that he won’t be full-time.
The following news bits came from the Comic Con panels for The Vampire Dairies, Supernaturaland Doctor Who. This article closes out all my notes from last weekend and now, I have to sort out my pictures from the weekend and go from there… Comic Con pics coming soon! -
The Vampire Diaries
The Vampire Diaries Comic Con panel really didn’t produce much news… just really great banter amongst the panelists:
The panel included Joseph Morgan, Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Candice Accola and Paul Wesley. Exec producer Kevin Williamson was also there.
Another panel birthday at Comic Con, this time the crowd sang happy birthday to Paul Wesley.
Speaking of Wesley, he said he’ll be enjoying embracing the darker side of Stefan.
Dobrev said she likes playing both characters. Something about the nest of both worlds.
We have not seen the last of Elijah.
Damon is not happy how things are turning out at the moment.

If you recall, a few weeks back in mid-May I mentioned that Misha Collins‘ role as Castiel was being cut back to a limited capacity on the CW series Supernatural.
We had started wondering of Collins was leavingSupernatural on May 1st because of a few sporadic tweets from an account that was subsequently shut down. Misha Collins didn’t respond to the rumors either, via his own Twitter account, to sooth the worried fans. Isn’t that just like that pesky guy?
With the rolling back of Castiel making any appearances, some were suspecting that Jim Beaver would step up and have a larger role in the series. But it would seem that even though he’s a very popular, fatherly figure in the story about the Winchester brothers, he’s quite happy showing up only when needed.
Apparently Jim Beaver has been chatted with about going full-time on the series, but he’s been quoted to saying that,
“Every season since, we discuss it, but at present it seems that the existing situation is the best one we can agree on.”
Further info adds to that statement to round it out, that the offers that he’s received to go full-time isn’t sufficient to offset the costs of moving his family to Vancouver, where Supernatural shoots.
Hey ‘simmers, remember the rumors about Misha Collins leaving Supernatural? It seems we now know that Misha Collins IS NOT leaving Supernatural. He’ll be back, but only in a limited capacity/appearance mode on this CW network series.
In my Supernatural season finale review, I ended it pondering the rumor about Misha Collins. The only hope we had has that Collins never came out and denied or confirmed anything, that anyone knew of. I mean he’s tweeted about the Queen, about not being able to find his favorite snack food, and how people don’t seem open-minded enough when he cross dresses. But not word about if the rumors of his leaving Supernatural were true or not.
TVLine is reporting exclusively that Misha Collins is not returning as a full-time cast member for The CW‘s Supernatural seventh season. He won’t be a regular in the show.
But it seems that he will show up on and off, but we won’t get as much of Cas next season.
Why?
Executive producer Sera Gamble told TVLine the following:
When Supernatural on The CW kicked in their sixth season, I think many people were wondering how it would go. Eric Kripke had stepped back and Sera Gamble stepped up and took the creative reigns. I have to say that as far as I can tell, Supernatural didn’t skip a beat. The classic rock music injected perfectly, the humor that lies underneath the stories and the story itself, the main plot, underneath it all, moved forward. Sometimes in tiny pieces and sometimes in entire episodes.
Albeit it, the show kept its charm and character and was not disappointing in this extra, or sixth season. I say extra because Kripke only had five seasons mapped out. He stepped back because his story was done. But when the CW renewed the series, they had to step up, and I’m sure the fans are glad they did. That’s when Sera Gamble stepped in. And having been one of Kripke’s right-hand persons, she had taken her notes well and employed them rather well.
With that, herein lies my recap/review of the sixth season finale of Supernatural…
Spoilers are abound:
In the first part/episode of the Supernatural season closer, titled “Let It Bleed,” it starts out with Crowley (Mark Sheppard) stepping outside his boundaries and kidnapping Lisa and Ben to keep Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) busy. Busy trying to find them. But Crowley had stepped out of line doing this, but regardless of how angry Cas (The ever popular fan favorite Misha Collins) is about this, Crowley doesn’t care anymore.
So is this it for Cas? Will we be seeing any more of him? Rumors are that Misha Collins won’t be in season 7 of Supernatural. (Supernatural was renewed!) RUMORS? I just don’t how you can’t have a Cas hanging out with the brothers Winchester.
Go get your HUGE salt shaker and listen to how this rumor became noise:
The Twitter account, “SuperntrlFreak” had tweeted that Misha Collins has been written off the show. This Twit account purported to be friends with Collins’ manager. If true, OOPS!
What has folks concerned is that the Twitter account went private, and is now, seemingly gone. But the other issue is that Misha Collins has not tweeted to his amigos in Twitter-land any denial of the rumor… yet. The only tweets that Collins has popped up recently are…
Last week’s episode of Supernatural on The CW, titled “Mommy Dearest,” was the follow-up to the previous episode where Sam and Dean headed to the old west to collect some ashes of a phoenix. The ashes are the one thing that can kill Mother… or Eve.
I don’t think I mentioned how far-out that western episode was. No, I could buy into the time travel trip that Cas sent them on. No, I could buy into Supernatural‘s version of a phoenix.
The wildly fictional, bordering on science fiction thing that caught my eye was the premise that the U.S. Postal Service delivered something, on time, period! Never mind through a few hundred years!
-
In “Mommy Dearest” we had more absolutely classic and timeless Supernatural humor, as they always manage to deliver!
When the team discovers where Eve is holed up and working her magic, Cas (Misha Collins) pops the lot of them into the town. But then Cas has no powers. He became, flaccid in the ability to use his powers and the moment was extended long enough to make a pretty funny scene.
But then Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) find Eve and go in blazing… sort of, except, they can’t blaze because Eve was expecting them and they’re surrounded and all that business!
Supernatural is returning to the CW this Friday night, April 15th, with the episode titled “My Heart Will Go On”… ah, the breaks are way too long and the networks, too cruel!
But alas, I’ve landed some video footage of interviews with Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Jim Beaver and Misha Collins, and writer/producer Ben Edlund.
After the FearNet video red carpet interviews from Palyfest, check out the preview of tomorrow’s episode!
