This upcoming 2011 Thanksgiving holiday weekend, we have a few things going on around the house, much like I suspect you do. If you’re going to be taking it easy and just hanging out around your home, whether it’s quietly stashed away, or with loved ones, your TV is going to be staring at you… calling your name, saying ‘watch me,’ I have all kinds of TV series marathons or movie marathons going on.
I see The Walking Dead, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Battlestar Galactica, NCIS, & a Firefly* marathon… (*If you get Science Channel)
So if you pick up that remote and fire it off at your TV, here are a few things coming up for the Thanksgiving weekend… a TV marathon or two, so to speak.
And folks… to anyone coming by, whether you’re popping in once or a repeat offender (visitor) checking out this post, I want to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who comes by and visits my tiny little corner of the web.
Happy Thanksgiving and bless all of you and yours…
Now, back to my regularly scheduled snark and stuff…

Sean Murray in NCIS fr 2009
- Sean Murray plays Special agent Timothy McGee on CBS’s notoriously popular NCIS. NCIS cast also includes Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette, David McCallum and a slew of others in this high rated TV show.
But of late, fans have become concerned with what looks like Sean Murray’s weight loss over the last few seasons.
Fans are going nuts worried about what they feel is a new, sickly look of Sean Murray. But publicity releases from both CBS and Sean Murray himself are saying he’s not sick. In fact Murray took to twitter a long time ago and said he had lost 25 pounds by abstaining from alcohol and sugar.
You can check the above referenced article for everyone’s worries on Sean’s health.
But has anyone ever wondered, before NCIS, where we’ve possibly seen Sean?

CBS ANNOUNCES 2011-2012 PREMIERE DATES
CBS, America’s most watched network, will officially open the 2011-2012 season on Monday, Sept. 19, highlighted by the special series debut of its new comedy, 2 BROKE GIRLS, which premieres at a special time behind the season premiere of TWO AND A HALF MEN.
CBS will once again launch the majority of its new and returning programming during premiere week (Sept. 19-25). SURVIVOR premieres one week earlier (Wednesday, Sept. 14) for the ninth time in the past 10 seasons, and the comedies MIKE & MOLLY (Monday, Sept. 26) and HOW TO BE A GENTLEMAN (Thursday, Sept. 29) will debut one week later.
The new drama, PERSON OF INTEREST, opens Thursday, Sept. 22 preceded by back-to-back episodes of THE BIG BANG THEORY. UNFORGETTABLE premieres Tuesday, Sept. 20 and A GIFTED MAN on Friday, Sept. 23.
“Our playbook is pretty consistent: wherever and whenever possible we use established successful series to introduce new shows,” said Kelly Kahl, Senior Executive Vice President, CBS Primetime. “We’ve also asked a couple of our strongest series to work overtime during premiere week in order to support the new series and bolster our performance.”

I was asked a question in my comment zone on an article about Michael Weatherly, of NCIS fame, here on the Cinema Static section on Brusimm.com. The question left behind was the following:
“Does Michael Weatherly have an ex-wife that plays on the Young and the Restless?”
First, to deal with one of your questions Carmen, yes. Michael Weatherly was married to Amelia Heinle. Amelia Heinle has played Mia Saunders on the soap opera, All My Children, from 2001 to 2004. She’s also played Victoria Newman and all her name variations on The Young and the Restless from 2005 to 2011.
Weatherly and Newman had a son in 1996, named August Manning.
-
While digging this up, I found out a few interesting things about Michael Weatherly I thought I’d toss out here for your intellectual digestion… I mean there’s stuff here that I either didn’t know or forgot I knew!
Michael is the son of Michael Manning Weatherly Sr., who was (is?) the American importer for the Swiss Army Knife!
The lucky bugger was also dated Rachel Hunter and was engaged at one time to Jessica Alba, who called him her first love. It was suggested in an interview with her that Michael was… the first guy, that, well, you know. Dude, talk about blazing coveted trails!

Last weekend I was watching the NCIS marathon that I told everyone about over on my Twitter account… during the marathon I was once again presented with the occasional rule from Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon.

I know they exist but have never seen the list. So I went a hunting. It wasn’t hard to find. There are several resource websites out there that are or act like NCIS wiki’s.
Over at the NCIS Wikia, they list the rules and looking them up, I thought I’d add my voice to the digital fray of the internet forest of information…
So here we go with
Gibbs Rules
Rule #1: Never let suspects stay together.
Rule #1: Never screw over your partner.
Rule #2: Always wear gloves at a crime scene.
Rule #3: Don’t believe what you’re told. Double check.
Rule #3: Never be unreachable. (*Most likely one of Mike Franks’ “Golden Rules”)

In the closing episodes of the eighth season of NCIS, titled “Baltimore,” “Swan Song” & “Pyramid,” they’ve done it again and pulled out some stops to make this yet another memorable season closer. The team is on the tail of the “Port to Port” serial killer, which we learn is former Lt. Jonas Kobb (Kerr Smith). But that information came with a heavy price.
Kobb gives Mike Franks (Muse Watson) his last good fight, and Franks dies by his hand. But Franks didn’t have long to live anyway, so it would seem he went out on his own terms. I was as sad as the NCIS team itself to see Franks leave. But Franks’ funeral was as touching, to see Gibbs (Mark Harmon) handy wood work adorning his coffin.
Ziva (Cote de Pablo) uncharacteristically finds herself kidnapped and held prisoner by Kobb. But it was again, all a ruse. The team goes after Ziva and Kobb gets what he wants… inside NCIS to get closer to who he thinks is to blame for the program where he himself was trained, trianed to become the best killing machine ever.
In the end, Kobb is stopped by the team. It takes the entire team to stop him, but I think there was a snag in the plot.
Kobb wsa a very methodical, well planned out and plotted character. He was the impossible criminal to catch. But then his getting caught seemed a wee bit more simple than I thought. He showed up at Gibbs’ house, but killed Franks. He let himself get caught to get inside NCIS, and though he manages to wrangle three of the people he needed to kill, he is taken down.

CBS announced their 2011-12 Fall TV season. As expected, the proven guns are coming back to the power-hitter network.
Hawaii Five-0, NCIS (both), Criminal Minds, CSI (All three) & Blue Bloods are returning. Also on the slate is the reality competition, The Amazing Race & Survivor.
Hey other networks… have you noticed that the power hitting network only has two reality series under its belt?

Though I did say the following list is a compilation of Network (not cable) finale dates for all of your favorite shows in May, I did sneak a few cable dates in there.
The first list is sorted by show name. If your show starts with the word ‘the’, look for the main name to be alphabetized. The second list is sorted by date, if that’s your thing!
