In the event there are any Cinema Static readers that may be interested, there are auctions going on for both Stargate and Caprica TV shows of props.
It’s an interesting method for studios to recoup some funds from old shows rather than moth-balling everything they used on-set, and it gives fans with the funds the chance to snag some cool stuff.
Right now, the auctions are in week 41 of the Stargate Ebay auctions and week 5 of the Caprica Ebay auctions.

Might be something worth checking out each week if you’re interested.
Lost Final Scene in Credits
If you remember, a while back there was an auction with props and such called “Lost” The Official Show Auction.
Despite my wanting to participate in these events, I know I need to bring the big guns to the table… it ain’t Ebay, and hence, I don’t usually get what I’m shooting for. (I need a sponsor… that’s what I need!) But some folks made out pretty good. Especially those who could afford props like the Dharma Van, or Hurley’s Camaro, the Dharma Jeep and so on. Yes… I would need really deep pockets for that.
With that being said, I was sent a preliminary example of list of what items did sell for what. I thought you’d like to check out the press release from Profiles in History… the organization that held the auction:

Profiles in History will be holding the much anticipated auction of movie props from ABC’s hit series Lost. There will be over one thousand lots of goodies that range from props, to costumes to set pieces from the entire 6-season life-span of the show.
Too cool if you have the bucks. Me, I’m wondering if they’ll be auctioning off the jet engine that sat on the beach or some of the airline seats from the first season wreck!?

Iron Man Iron Monger Armor display from San Diego Comic Con
Yea…the Propworx auction of props and costumes from the first Iron Man movie is taking place on April 18th. (Yea, it starts soon after this article went life.) Over at Propworx they have multiple methods for bidding, from online to even from your iPhone. (That could become a very expensive phone call!!!) Now it’s possible you can build your very own suit of prop-armor from the Iron Man movie.
Tony Stark with Captain Americas Shield in background
Items range from helmets from the different armors to the celebratory champagne case that comes “Free with every purchase of $500 million or more.” as Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) said after the Jericho demonstration in Iron Man. But I’m willing to bet we don’t get a chance to grab that Captain America shield that’s in the background of this scene from the first Iron Man movie! But then again, I didn’t peruse the online catalog that thoroughly.

Yes, you read me right! If you have some bucks, you can snag some Stargate stuff off of Ebay in a Propworx auction that is dispensing old props from the show.
Propworx has a website called Stargate Artifacts and they talk about some of the items coming up.
Right now, they have 108 items left… a lot of costumes, but they still have some swords, blasters and what not left to auction. They have Ronon Dex’s holster. WTH is the gun damnit!!!??? They have Jaffa armor, Wraith drone masks,
Unlike other auctions, some things aren’t getting too prohibitive in price. We all might have a chance to own a piece of Stargate. As sad as it may seem.

There are days I wish I had just a little bit more play money so I can buy some really cool things when they go up for auction.
For instance, check out the Profiles in History auction that took place on October 9th at its 37th Hollywood Memorabilia Auction on October 8-9, 2009.
Check it out after the break, but try not to go insanely jealous… unlike myself!
Here are some auction highlights, after the break
