Starting October 26th, 2010, The Syfy Channel website will begin streaming the award-winning web series, Riese, in a series titled Riese: Kingdom Falling. The 10-part web series will be streamed every Tuesday and Thursday starting October 26th and will feature some rather well known & beloved actors.

Emilie Ullerup in Sanctuary
Emilie Ullerup has been a busy actress these days. From Riese to Asphalt Canyons to H2k, Hansel and Gretel and Witchslayer, I found out she’s also working on a movie called Complexity.
Complexity is a romantic comedy indie movie where Ullerup plays the lead role.

Back in April 2010, I let you know that Syfy Digital acquired the rights to Riese The Series. In that same press release from Syfy, they tossed out a teaser saying that they had an eye on a possible development path to a TV production for Riese.
It’s now headed into June 2010 and from a Syfy Channel tweet I just saw out there, they touched on the Riese TV series idea while answering another tweet:
“Riese is coming to their web channel in the fall. Maybe a promo run on air if we can swing it. TBD.“
So for now, though it’s not bad news at all, we still need to keep our fingers crossed to catch Emilie Ullerup back on TV.
Allison Mack as Chloe Sullivan in Smallville
People have been pondering about Allison Mack. With season 9 of Smallville winding down, there has been talk, or more specific, curiosity about Allison Mack’s contract, which ends this year. The question being, will Allison Mack return to Smallville for a 10th season?
As Splash Page points out, Allison Mack is the only regular original cast member, aside from Tom Welling, who is still with the show. Executive producer Brian Peterson says that they’re optimistic for Mack’s return to the show.

I saw these notes about all the returning characters to Smallville last night, but I’ve just been a busy bee with a ton of other things going on. But for my readers, lemme tell ya what I’m seeing:
The season finale of Smallville si going to see a few folk from past episodes showing up, and that’s a neat deal to see.
- First, we’re hearing that Brian Austin Green is returning as Metallo gets an “Upgrade.”
- We’ve already seen more of Pam Grier as Amanda Waller, from Checkmate.

Syfy just released a breaking news item that Syfy Digital has acquired the rights to Riese, the Series, and is looking to stream the first season on Syfy Digital, and the yet to be seen 2nd season on the same channel. The awesome part of the deal is that they’re looking to take Riese on the development path to a series for TV.
Riese stars Christine Chatelain, Patrick Gilmore, Sharon Taylor and Ben Cotton.
But if you look carefully at some of the newest cast members of Riese, you’ll catch a few familiar names:

The 2010 Streamy Awards (craft awards) came and went today. I’ve always tried to pay attention to web series but I can’t seem to find a good centralized source that says, hey, this is cool, or check this one out. But now, I may have a list to look over from the winners of the different categories of the Streamy Awards.
We have the usual categories for web-based series, from documentary, foreign, new & experimental series. We also have technical categories… of which Riese the Series with Emilie Ullerup won an award for Best Cinematography.

The Syfy Channel has renewed Sanctuary for a 3rd season of 20 full episodes. The show averaged about 2.2 million viewers each week once live and DVR viewings were tallied.
Now the big question remains … if we all remember, when the creators said that if a 3rd season gets ordered, they hinted at the premise of Ashley (Emilie Ullerup) possibly coming back.
So with this 3rd season coming up, do you think they’ll deliver on their veiled promises to bring Ashley back? And will Emilie take them up on it now that she’s on Riese the Series?
Now, it’s time to put their money where their mouths are!

Sanctuary: The Complete First Season on AMAZON
We thought it was great news when we reported that Emilie Ullerup landed on her feet after that bulls*** where Emilie was cut from the cast of Sanctuary because of creative story writing.
She landed on her feet landing a role in the web series Riese The Series as Aliza. But dang, suddenly she’s got company from actors from other popular shows coming over for roles on Riese The Series.
Allison Mack (Smallville, upcoming Scream 4) is joining Riese as Marlise, an amitious Sect member.
Alesandro Juliani (Battlestar Galactica, Alice, Smallville, upcoming Riverworld) is joining Riese as Garin, an officer of the resistance.
Patrick Gilmore (Stargate Universe) is on the web series as is Sanctuary’s Ryan Robbins.
Peter Kelamis (Stargate Universe, The Thaw) is coming on board as Ormand.
This seems like a serious amount of named actors headed on over to Riese. I wonder if something is coming down the pipe where this might be coming to TV and they’re stocking up the cast!? That would be nice!
Wow, a few from SGU and Smallville hoping on over to Riese the Series. Is there some message underneath it all about their old television series’? Eh, probably not.

Emilie Ullerup has been the focus of many distraught fans of Sanctuary and the actress herself. Cinema Static asked if Ullerup was leaving Sanctuary, and later found out that Ullerup was let go from Sanctuary. She was written off of Sanctuary rather abruptly, at least from the fans point of view.
The latest news is that Emilie has landed a new role in the medium that got her on Sanctuaryt, the web.
Emilie Ullerup landed a role on the web series Riese the Series and will be playing Aliza, a revolutionary, in what they refer to as Chapter 2.
Riese is a sci-fi / fantasy series that takes is source material from history, mythology, folklore and steampunk.
It’s about a young woman and a companion wolf named Fenrir and they travel through a collapsing world as she tries to recall what the fragmented memories are while trying to avoid capture by a dangerous religious cult that hunts her.
