If you have HBO and you’re a fan of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, HBO premiered the movie last Saturday night. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World comes from Edgar Wright (Grindhouse, Hot Fuzz) who directed, wrote and produced this project that stars Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead with appearances by the likes of Brandon Routh, Chris Evans (Captain America), Clifton Collins Jr. (Boondock Saints), & Thomas Jane.

The premise of the story is that Scott Pilgrim (Cera) meets this pretty young lady named Ramona Flowers (Winstead). But for him to be able to continue to date her, he is forced to confront and defeat her 7 evil ex’s. Not ex-boyfriends, ex’s. If you see the movie, you’ll understand.

Things are going crazy, in a good way for Christopher Nolan right now. Scripts for The Dark Knight Rises* are slated to be in the actors hands in January, but also of import, is that Nolan and Zack Snyder have started looking for their next Superman for Superman: Man of Steel.
Warner Bros. is open to the idea of a relative newbie and making a star out of him. Him being someone in the age range of 28 to 32 and they have to be ready for production which may very well start in June of 2011.
The production date for Superman: Man of Steel is a very important date to have in your head because when you start reading the rumor mills and what-if mills about who should, could or would play Superman, keep in mind that if the movie starts production in June, that will also be around the time that network studios are filming their prime-time dramas. Where am I going with this? No mainstream TV star will be able to pull off both productions. Unless something fantastic happens and a star is given the time. But that may not be likely. With that said, I’ve already seen conjectures that are pulling up stars from present TV series still in their production runs. (Just sayin’.)
