If you haven’t noticed, the profile image for NASCAR‘s the Sprint Cup Girls Facebook page is only sporting two team-members on the publicity team for Sprint. Paige Duke is no longer with the Miss Sprint Cup team. It would seem she was let go due to some imagery that popped up on the web, images from her long-gone days of college.
The details, well, they are what they are and though it seemed she sent the images to one party for personal reasons, they found their way to a bulletin board and then another NASCAR site had posted them.
Subsequently, the actions of both parties seemed to have resulted in her being let go from the Miss Sprint Cup team. Hope everyone is happy… then again, I’m sure the other parties that helped this happen probably don’t care they cost the girl her job. True, these were choices she made in her past, but this seemed undeserved. I could be wrong, but that’s my take.

We already have the Sprint Cup Girls and we’re much happier for it. MillerCoors entertainment marketing has hired from over one hundred applicants, Rachel Rupert to represent Coors Light within the concrete & asphalt roadways of NASCAR.
What landed her the gig as Miss Coors Light, the first-ever Miss Coors Light that is, is her enthusiasm for NASCAR and growing up watching it every Sunday. Her favorite track is Martinsville.
Her new gig starts next week at Loudon and Miss Coors Light will be interacting with fans and drivers during at-track appearances, Coors Light-sponsored events and online. Rachel will also be presenting the Coors Light Pole Award each week to the top Cup and Nationwide series qualifiers.

Miss Sprint Cup Paige with Jamie McMurray
Oh, sorry… did I accidentally cut off Jamie McMurray!? Silly computer!
The upcoming NASCAR race this weekend is at Talladega SuperSpeedway! Talladega is the most intense race for this NASCAR fan. Drivers feel like it’s not really a race, but to be able to drive an automobile at 190 mph is an incredible talent. Cars with the power these machines have don’t always want to go straight. They want to power drift when going straight. They’re subject to the buffeting winds created by the pack, and oh, they’re nose to tail, 3 and 5 wide through most of the intense moments of the race.
