I have seen all the Super Bowl ads, and I’m definitely not looking for all the ads in the list I put up a few weeks back… BUt I hope $7/minute is worth it for the advertisers!
Of the collective, these two ads actually triggers a LOL response. The others might be funny, but they seemed to go on for too long and lost their umph with me.
Check out the ads… were funny enough for me that I thought I’d post them..
Will you be seeing Joss Whedon‘s The Avengers in 3D? I wasn’t planning on it, but Disney may have swayed my hand here! Damnit!

As far as 3D movies go, I’ve dug my heels in hard. It seems pointless to fork out extra cash for most live-action 3D movies unless there’s CGI involved like in Tron: Legacy, or Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Animated features seem to benefit the most from 3D, bringing that type of movie to life.
But there’s very little that can get me to fork out the extra bucks for a live-action 3D movie these days. It doesn’t add anything to the live-action movie. But then again, it looks like Disney has found my weak spot!
Disney and RealD have come up with the concoction of custom designed 3D movie glasses based on characters from The Avengers.
And I have to tell ya, it’s tempting, if for anything else, to have a pair of your own super cool 3D glasses.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a pretty decent animated series. They don’t pull punches and you can get a nice dose of the Star Wars franchise to boot! Check out the preview clips and description below!
Via press release:
When the Jedi learn of a Separatist plot to kidnap Chancellor Palpatine, one of them must go deep undercover as a hardened criminal to extract information from the conspirators. To alleviate all suspicions and fit seamlessly into a high security Republic prison, a Jedi must die! But not everything is what it seems in The Clone Wars. Witness the “Deception” — an all-new episode — which features the return of the series’ most memorable villains behind bars: Cad Bane, Boba Fett and Bossk, airing at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT Friday, January 20th on Cartoon Network.
In the next all-new episode of The Clone Wars, Ahsoka Tano is reunited with Lux Bonteri, the handsome young Separatist who opened her eyes to the fact that the war isn’t always black-and-white. When Lux suddenly barges into a peace conference between Separatists and Republic delegates, he involves Ahsoka in a dangerous search to find justice for his mother’s death.
This episode, directed by Dave Filoni, sees the return of Death Watch. Since their attempt to take over Mandalore in Season Two, they’ve gotten tougher, grittier, and far more dangerous. Jon Favreau (Iron Man) returns as warlord Pre Vizsla, and is joined by Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) as the armored warrior, Bo-Katan.
Don’t miss this new episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars airing at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT Friday, January 13th on Cartoon Network.
The fantastic animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, returns from its mid-season break with the episode titled “Escape from Kadavo.” And I have a few preview clips for you too!
“Escape from Kadavo” concludes the three-part story where Anakin is the Zygerrian Queen’s prisoner and Obi-Wan is enslaved in the camps of Kadavo.
Both scenarios for our heroes seem rather bleak as Anakin tries to convince the queen that she too is a pawn and Obi-wan’s plight is definitely desperate.
It’s been a great first two parts that kept the viewer completely engaged and I can’t wait for the end of this three-part story arc!
This upcoming 2011 Thanksgiving holiday weekend, we have a few things going on around the house, much like I suspect you do. If you’re going to be taking it easy and just hanging out around your home, whether it’s quietly stashed away, or with loved ones, your TV is going to be staring at you… calling your name, saying ‘watch me,’ I have all kinds of TV series marathons or movie marathons going on.
I see The Walking Dead, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Battlestar Galactica, NCIS, & a Firefly* marathon… (*If you get Science Channel)
So if you pick up that remote and fire it off at your TV, here are a few things coming up for the Thanksgiving weekend… a TV marathon or two, so to speak.
And folks… to anyone coming by, whether you’re popping in once or a repeat offender (visitor) checking out this post, I want to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who comes by and visits my tiny little corner of the web.
Happy Thanksgiving and bless all of you and yours…
Now, back to my regularly scheduled snark and stuff…
Star Wars: The Clone Wars returns this Friday, October 28th with a four-part story arc. This new tale of suspense will find clone troopers on the ground of a hostile alien planet, under the command of General Jedi Pong Krell, a ruthless leader.
Though the clones carry out the difficult assignments, the tensions will be running high.
The other day I had a chance to catch a number of episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and I have to say, aside from a very few glaring mods for the younger audience, this Star Wars venue is true to the franchise.
With light sabers, Jedi battle, good & evil, there aren’t too many punches pulled in this wonderfully animated Star Wars series. Even in battle, the opponent goes splat in surprisingly near-gory ways.
This week, there are around 200 new titles coming out as new DVD & Blu-ray releases this Tuesday, October 18th, 2011. With Johnny Depp, Cameron Diaz and Selena Gomez leading the fray of new DVD’s. We’re also going to have some voice talent of Eliza Dushku, Brian Cranston and Katee Sackhoff too.
We’re also finally getting some Brandon Lee and David Niven on some new Blu-ray titles.
Check out my list of New Releases below:

New Movies on DVD
A Better Life Starring Demian Bechir
A Very Merry Daughter of the Bride Starring Joanna Garcia and Helen Shaver
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Darth Maul (Ray Park) himself, but it looks like we will be seeing the man himself once again on the animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network.
The last time we saw this particular Sith, he was defeated by the young Obi-Wan Kenobi in the 1999 movie Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. In fact, he was sliced in half, then plummeted out of sight, down a very long tube in the ground.
But we never did see him go splat, did we?
Or as the LucasFilm press release says,
“In the Star Wars universe, however, one must never underestimate the power of the dark side!”
C-3PO and R2-D2′s adventure continues when they are forced to escape a Separatist attack. The snag a Y-wing fighter and our favorite droids end up on the world of the Patitites, on the odd planet Balnab. Of course, nothing ever goes well for these two, especially when C-3PO is around. They end up inside a pirate warship where they are forced to fight in a gladiatorial arena in the episode titled “Nomad Droids” a new episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, airing at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT Friday, October 14th on Cartoon Network.
