Menlo Park 2013 Summer Concert Series

No one has ever accused me for not planning ahead.  And as such, I started thinking about the 2013 annual Menlo Park Summer Concert Series that takes place in Fremont Park near downtown!

Right now, as I look around, I see that the Summer Concert Series is scheduled to run from June 19th to August 14th, Wednesday nights, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m..

I don’t see any schedules of bands yet, but if they get the usual fare of performers, it should be fun.

Summer Concert Series

Join us from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. the last Wednesday of June through mid August at Fremont Park to listen to some of the best local groups. The series features a variety of musical styles from Jazz to Country to hits of today and yesterday. Bring your picnic blanket and dinner, and of course there is always room up front for dancers of all ages.

Since I’m “planning ahead,” don’t forget about the 4th of July parade and the Halloween parade events!

Menlo Park’s Aug 15 Summer Block Party – Cancelled by City!

Menlo Park CAI just found out that the City of Menlo Park has cancelled the downtown summer block party that was scheduled for this Wednesday, August 15th, 2012!  The reason given was a generic one,

After much consideration the Chamber of Commerce has decided to forego the August event, but intend to continue in 2013 with the 7th Annual Block Party. We are very pleased that the Block Party has truly become an annual event which we all look forward to, both as patrons and participants.
