After The Syfy Channel had a successful run with Riese: The Kingdom Falling internet series, they decided to move forward with a new internet series, or digital series as they call it, titled The Mercury Men.
Riese pulled in over 1 million views (called streams) in two months time. That’s a lot of eyeballs on the web site. Learning that they can produce content for the web that pulls in viewers, Syfy Channel has decided to pull together a 10-part digital series called The Mercury Men.
Each of the 10 episodes will be approximately 7 minutes long. The series draws on the same retro feel of Star Wars and Indiana Jones, The Mercury Men is set in 1975 Pittsburgh.
