Red, Starring Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and others, Red is about a former black-ops agent, Frank Moses, makes a last ditch effort to reassemble his old team when his idyllic life is threatened by a high-tech assassin. It’s directed by Robert Schwentke (The Time Traveler’s Wife [< awesome movie]) and written by Jon Hoeber (Whiteout).
Sounds like nothing but fun! Check out the trailer… that’s nothing but fun!
Welcome to Cinema Static’s DVD/ Blu-ray Release Report for February 9th, 2010.
The second week of February is upon us and its time yet again for another week of new DVD and Blu-ray releases. This week’s line up is rather unimpressive even with a new Halo animated film and the latest Steven Seagal comedy.
The big movie releases this week are films that failed to impress me during their theatrical run. Honestly you would have to pay me to see Couples Retreat and The Stepfather. I did see, A Serious Man and yes it was a horrible Coen Brother’s film that had one of the weakest endings I’ve seen in years. So what’s my movie pick this week? I don’t have one, though Bronson looks interesting but screams rental. There’s a new Steven Seagal film out but is there really anything new about his films? Steven + gun + smirk + bad guy = big yawn!
My TV pick this week is, Gary Unmarried: The Complete First Season. Honorable mentions go out to, Rod Serling: Studio One Dramas and the twisted, Sarah Silverman Program: Season Two V.2.
My Blu-ray pick this week is the classic, Running Man. Honorable mention goes to, Halo Legends. Here’s this weeks list…
