This is a movie review from Cinema Static on Brusimm about Unknown, starring Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger, and January Jones in the Jaume Collet-Serra directed movie from Warner Bros. Pictures.

For reference, Jaume Collet-Serra also directed the great little thriller Orphan.  I didn’t know this going into Unknown… or, well, maybe I forgot.  But it makes sense.  The movie is about one Dr. Martin Harris, played by Liam Neeson, who is in Berlin for a conference and finds himself in a car accident in the cab he was taking.  The accident puts him in a coma.

Martin Harris was only in this coma for a few days, but when he wakes up, everything is all wrong.  His wife doesn’t know him, someone else is using his name, going to the conference in his place, hanging with his wife and such.  His associates think the other guy is him, but then again, all his associates only know him from phone conversations.

It’s pretty wacky, experiencing Martin Harris’s predicament. And to the movie-viewer, we’re pretty much kept in the dark while being pulled along Martins confusing journey.

Along the way, he locates the taxi driver who was at the wheel of the cab when it crashed.  The taxi drivers name is Gina (Kruger), and suddenly she’s drawn into this confusing journey of his.

And then there is the one person who does know Martin… Rodney Cole… played by Frank Langella.  Now so far, if you haven’t seen the movie, you have to wonder at the premise that if Frank Langella shows up, it can’t be good.  Right?
