So there I was watching AGT (America’s Got Talent) and during one of the audition nights, this hokey looking act came out. A clown in white-face, carrying a briefcase, and looking quite sad. And not talking. He was Puddles Pity Party.

My first impression was, oh my, what shtick is this guy bringing now?

The judges questioned Puddles for a few moments, but he does not talk. Great, a mime clown. So they decided to let him do his thing. And OMG, it made the audience and the judges drop their jaws. It was amazing.

In his first round of auditions, he belted out Sia’s “Chandelier” and he did awesome. He belted it out of the park to the point that even Simon Cowell was grinning and gave him a standing ovation.

The second round of auditions, where we had a guest judge, Puddles came out and just blew the audience away with “All By Myself.”

But alas, he did not get past the quarterfinal cuts of AGT, and the suspicion was that because Simon exed him, the voting home audience crowd seemingly followed suite. But the song he did, “Royals,” by Lorde, has over 21 million views on his channel.

The thing is that as soon as he starts singing, it’s obvious he has some lungs. Then he also picked songs that demonstrates his range, slowly, but surely, each new moment shows just how deep, resonating and emotionally charged his talent can be.
