‘Terminator’ – Skynet Becomes Aware Today

I’ve warned as many as I can that today, in the lore of the Terminator franchise, is the day that Skynet becomes aware, becomes operational.  I deplored many to unplug everything…  but to no avail.

Come this Thursday, Skynet will attack humanity.  The beginning of the end is here.

That is, unless John Connor somehow managed to stop it before it began.  But just in case, stash up on supplies and prepare yourself for what the Terminator franchise has warned us about!

Get to the hills and wait.  You’ve been warned!!!

Terminator is the 1984 movie that started our romance with the devastation that our own computers could bring down upon us.  It wasn’t a new concept, but it was a well delivered concept that captured the imaginations of the movie-goer and then the public alike.  It was distributed by Orion Pictures, and directed by some guy named James Cameron (Who also co-wrote the script.)  It starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn in a story where Skynet sends a machine back in time to kill John Connor’s mother to prevent the uprising of the resistance.

From there, the premise spawned a few more movies and a very popular TV series called Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, but having to balance out various factors, despite the huge fan-backed campaigns, Fox opted to retain Joss Whedon‘s Dollhouse and dumped TTSCC, despite the incredible developing plot line that would have led into the subsequent season.  (Fox can’t win for losing some days.).
