After the 2010 NASCAR Cup season, we lost one of the Miss Sprint Cup girls but we gained a new one. This season, the official 2011 Miss Sprint Cup Lineup includes Paige Duke, Monica Palumbo and Kim Coon!
This is Palumbo’s fourth year and Duke’s second. Kim Coon (center) is the new girl on the block!
Kim Coon has an undergraduate degree from University of Miami and a master’s from the University of Alabama. Her career includes marketing / PR, was an NFL cheerleader and a volunteer for the “Susan G. Komen for the Cure” program.

Keep reading for an interesting bit about Kim’s past after the break…
But there is something else that isn’t being mentioned in the NASCAR press releases that I saw… that Ms. Coon is / was on ABC’s The Bachelor with Brad Womack. (Not the first time, this season that is airing right now.) I’m not sure how the timing worked out, but if this is the same Kim Coon, she was eliminated in the 3rd episode. If you watch the show, she left during the episode that the blonde “vampire” exited. (If you don’t watch the show, don’t ask!)
The show promo material says she is a marketing coordinator at C design Inc., graduated from the University of Miami in 2005 with a B.S. in Communications, Broadcasting and Religious Studies and got her M.A. in Communications, Public Relations, Advertising & Integrated Marketing from the University of Alabama. In the bit, it indicates she was a Carolina Panthers cheerleader in 2009. It also says she speaks Spanish, likes C.S. Lewis as an author, and does not consider herself romantic.
This was the 2009 Carolina TopCats squad:
Ann Alston
Caiti Berg
Jennifer Bobbitt
Kimberly Coon
Cynthia English
Sara Gormel
T’fani Hixon
Megan Hodge
Leslie Holmes
Melanie Jackson
Kristen Kirkland

Here’s a pic from Ultimate Cheearleaders from a public event with Kimberly in it:
There are more images of Kimberly at the bottom of the page from Ultimate Cheerleaders, at the link above.
I have to say, I’m not familiar with the backgrounds of most cheerleaders, but multiple degrees is a pretty awesome achievement… and I think she will be a great addition to the Miss Sprint Cup gang!

My comment to the Sprint Cup girls is bye bye. The way you try to worm yourself into the pictures at the end of the race when they are interviewing the drivers is so annoying and so fake. They are interviewing the drivers….not you. So quit pushing your way to the front. I’d rather see an owner and/or driver and/or wife of the driver but not you. Nascar is about racing…not females trying to push their way into the photo. When the sprint girls came back at the end of the race, I turn them off. Don’t like to see people making fools of themselves. People are more interested in hearing the drivers than seeing you. Bye Bye
