The Biggest Loser season finale started up with a quick recap of the contestants. We then got a look see at the contestants past, and Daris is looking pretty spry. Daris, while training for the finale, found himself a girlfriend named Heather. Sly boy! Koli Looks pretty thin compared to his old self. Koli asked us to not mistake his confidence for being cocky. But he looked oddly nervous throughout the show.
These guys were the ones up for the public vote-in, and Daris won the viewer’s vote.
We then got to see how Shay did on her own. She couldn’t do the show because it was a couple’s season, but the show promised her $1,000 a pound, for every pound lost. Shay lost 52 pounds and won $52k. But wait, Jared from Subway brought out a blank check and said if she trained and finished a marathon, they’d double the check. Shay made out pretty good. On total, she’s lost 224 pounds since first showing up on The Biggest Loser.
The ousted contestants then weighed in because the one who lost the most weight off The Biggest Loser campus would win $100k. Sherry weighed in and was the top loser for a while. Everyone’s fave, Melissa, looked like she was going to give her a run for her money, but only lost 90 pounds. O’neal almost did it, but was short by about 20 pounds. Then Darrell took the lead with 189 pounds total weight lost.
Sam lost 142 pounds, but it wasn’t enough to take the spot from Darrell. Koli was the last to weigh in from the ousted contestant group. He weighed in needing to have lost 184 pounds and he took the $100k with a total weight loss of 188 pounds. Good for Koli.
The Biggest Loser Finalists
It came down to Ashley, Daris and Michael… and from first look, I wasn’t sure if it would be Daris but then when Michael came on stage and visually, it looked like he would win. Micheal got to pick the order of weigh in and he called out youngest to oldest.
Weighing in for that $250k prize:
Daris weighed in with a total weight loss of 168 pounds, or 48.55% of his original starting weight.
Ashley lost 183 pounds, 48.93%, taking Daris off the podium.
Michael started the season at 526 pounds and needed to lose more than 257 pounds to win. He weighed in with 264 pound weight loss, 49.81%, taking the title of The Biggest Loser!
