When I was putting together my opening movies article for an upcoming Friday, I came across Ridley Scott’s entertainment resume. It was impressive what he has brought to us, what he’s working on now, and what he has in the pipe. It’s incredible, the number of projects that Ridley Scott has coming up. That’s for sure.
Ridley Scott, the Man
Born November 30, 1937 in South Shields, in Tyne and Wear, England, he’s the brother of director Tony Scott & Father of actress Jordan Scott. Some of his personal favorite films are Lawrence of Arabia, Citizen Kane and Seven Samurai.
His early employment includes being a trainee set designer with the BBC (1963), but then founded Ridley Scott Associates (RSA) with his brohter Tony Scott, in 1968.

All of these movies have impacted the movie world in one way or another. Yet movies aren’t his only venues. He’s also the noted executive producer for the TV series Numb3rs and The Good Wife.

Ubisoft is associated with the Future Soldier Project. My guess? The short film is an ad, upcoming YouTube teaser or snippet for the game.

I’ve seen what the critics have to say about Ridley Scott. I say that every now and then he hits the bulls-eye that every movie-goer enjoys, he’s got something. Not everyone can hit the sporadic massive movie hit, like say Paranormal Activity. But Scott has done it quite a few times. So really, can you knock that kind of success? I can’t.
