The NBC 2011 Fall TV Season – Want to Know What New Shows Are Headed Your Way?

This upcoming NBC 2011 fall TV season is coming at us with many of the networks cranking out a lot of new series & pilots.  Below are a list of new shows that just might make it to the upcoming NBC 2011 Fall TV Season.


17th Precinct is a sci fi drama from Battlestar Galactica executive producer Ron Moore.  It’s a supernatural police drama set in the fictional town of Excelsior. Battlestar vets Jamie Bamber, James Callis and Tricia Helfer, along with Eamonn Walker, Matt Long and Stockard Channing, will star.

A Mann’s World stars Don Johnson, and is about Allan Mann, a celebrity LA hair stylist (Johnson), who struggles to stay young and relevant.

Grimm stars David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell and Bitsie Tulloch and is a dark police drama that has characters inspired by Grimm’s Fairy Tales.

Playboy is about the 1963 Playboy Club in Chicago where the “bunnies” flirt with danger.  Cast includes Amber Heard and Naturi Naughton.

Prime Suspect stars Maria Bello, Aidan Quinn, Kirk Avevedo, Tim Griffin, Toby Stephens and Joe Nieves.  It’s an adaptation of a British miniseries that focuses on a tough female detective who has to struggle through the ranks in a tough New York precinct dominated by men.

Reconstruction stars Martin Henderson, Bill Sage, Claire Wellin, Emma Bell and Rachelle Lefevre.  It takes place in the aftermath of the Civil War where a soldier crosses the country and settles in a complicated town where he is welcomed as its savior — whether he likes it or not.

Awake (Formerly known as REM) stars Jason Isaacs, it’s about a police detective who’s involved in a traumatic car accident and wakes up in two fractured realities. (Boy does this sound familiar, like a show with the word Mars in it???)

Special Investigations L.A. cast includes  Madchen Amick, Daniella Alonso, Danny Pino and Matthew Levy and is a new way to look at the legal system in Los Angeles and it takes you through multiple perspectives which include law enforcement, the justice system, city hall and the criminal underworld.

Smash stars Debra Messing, Katharine McPhee, Anjelica Huston, Raza Jaffrey, Jack Davenport, Christian Borle and Megan Hilty.  It is about a group of people that are brought together while putting on a Broadway show about Marilyn Monroe. Steven Spielberg executive-produces.

Wonder Woman is a reboot of the 1970s series that will star Adrianne Palicki, Elizabeth Hurley, Tracie Thoms, Pedro Pascal and Cary Elwes.  In this vision of the hero, she juggles two other identities, Diana Themyscira, a shrewd corporate executive and Diana Prince, an assistant at Themyscira Industries.  David E.
