The Orion Slave Girls From Star Trek: Enterprise

Orion Slave Girls from Star Trek EnterpriseAdmittedly, aside from the idea that I enjoyed the prequel to Star Trek, called Star Trek: Enterprise, I was not able to catch all the episodes of the show when they first aired.  Heck, I missed a chunk of a whole season to boot!

But thanks to the Syfy Channel who have been airing the old episodes, I’m starting to catch up.

One episode in particular that caught my eye of late was titled “Bound”, where the Enterprise takes on 3 Orion slave Girls for a trip to pheromone hell and back for the crew.  I found the premise of the “slave girls” not really being slaves, but being truly in charge a nice twist on the mythos of the male distracting species and the girls they cast for the episode seemed, well-cast shall I say!

Cyia Batten, Crystal Allen and Menina Fortunato were skillfully cast by some lucky bast…  sorry, were skillfully cast for these iconic roles.

Let’s check out what they’ve done since then.  Shall we?

Cyia Batten (Orion Slave Girl Navaar)

Cyia has been in a few Star Trek franchise episodes, as seen here from this snap shot from Memory Alpha’s Wiki on Star Trek:

Don’t ask me to vote for which one is the hottest.  Each one has different aspects or qualities that outrank the others, so I’m staying mum on which would get my vote!

Now you know!

Enterprise for all its faults was exceptional tv!

Season 4 was some of the best Trek ever!

The use of Orion slave girls has always been a nice homage to “The Menagerie” and “The Cage” (1966) from the original Star Trek. Of course Susan Oliver’s slave girl was an illusion.

I’ve always been partial to Yvonne Craig’s Marta from “Whom Gods Destroy” (1969)
But I guess I’m just showing my age. Yeah, I saw them when they originally aired.
