If you’re wondering what’s coming down the pipe from the Syfy Channel this summer, here’s a quick list of what upcoming TV series finale dates, then premiere dates and after all that, what upcoming Syfy movies they’ve distributed air dates for.

There’s no mention of Red or some of their other high profile original movies they’ve touted in the past. They’re keeping us waiting so we keep having to go back and check for them. Eh, here’s what I do have for your now

Below the initial list are descriptors for some or most of the TV series or TV Movies noted here, alphabetically ordered.

Syfy Channel TV Series Season Finales:

  • Ghost Hunters Academy: The season-one finale is scheduled July 7
  • Merlin: Season-two finale scheduled July 2
  • Stargate Universe: Season-one finale scheduled June 11

I find it funny in how they’ve distinctly broken up Stargate Universe’s season into 2 distinct halves and still call it season one. Me personally, the eagle-eyed consumer in me refuses to buy DVD seasons that are titled season 1.0, season 1.5, and other such gimmicks.

Syfy Channel Season Premieres:

  • Eureka: Season 4 premieres on Friday, July 9, at 9 p.m.
  • Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files: season premiere on Thursday, July 15, at 10 p.m.*
  • Ghost Hunters International: New episodes are premiering on Wednesday, July 14, at 9 p.m.
  • Haven series premiere is on Friday, July 9, at 10 p.m.
  • Mary Knows Best: Series premiere on Thursday, July 15, at 9 p.m.*
  • Warehouse 13: Season 2 premieres on Tuesday, July 6, at 9 p.m.

*Disclaimer: I’m just being thorough by including this “show” in the list. They hold no water with me, but just in case some of you might be interested, I’ve included them. There, disclaimer has been disclaimed!

Upcoming Movies and Specials on the Syfy Channel:

  • Princess of Mars: Saturday, June 5, at 9 p.m.

  • Jack Hunter and the Lost Treasure of Ugarit: Saturday, July 31 at 9 p.m.
  • Lake Placid 3: August
  • Mandrake: August

  • Inside Secret Government Warehouses: Shocking Revelations (Syfy) Sunday, July 11, at 9 p.m.

Dinocroc vs. Supergator

“Roger Corman being these two back as these massive critters escape an experimental facility (which happens to be on a lush tropical island) and begin rampaging toward populated beaches filled with tourists. While the creatures work up an appetite battling each other, there are plenty of tourists around to snack on to keep them going.”

“Something big is coming that will be a major game-changer for Eureka, and it isn’t just James Callis joining the cast this season. Expect an Allison/Jack/Dr. Grant (Callis) love triangle, a race to the moon, people turning into stone, and even zombies! Guest stars include Jamie Kennedy, Wil Wheaton and the return of Jaime Ray Newman and Matt Frewer.”

Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files

“As part of a new reality block, the series casts a critical eye toward supernatural phenomenon portrayed in images and video online and around the world. Former FBI special agent Ben Hansen and his six-person team head into the field to carry out experiments and search for clues and evidence. Then, using CGI and investigative techniques, they ask, “Is it real?””

Ghost Hunters Academy

“Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango are back to mentor and train another group of ghost-hunter hopefuls. But this time there are no second chances. One cadet will be eliminated each week by Ghost Hunters’ lead investigator Jason Hawes as the class investigates Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum (Weston, W.Va.), Mark Twain House (Hartford, Conn.), Fort Delaware (Delaware City, Del.), Mansfield Reformatory (aka the “Shawshank Prison”) (Mansfield, Ohio) and the infamous Stanley Hotel (Estes Park, Colo.). After six investigations, the winning cadet will join either Ghost Hunters or Ghost Hunters International.”

Ghost Hunters International

“The GHI team is off to Nottingham, England, in the hunt for the Sherriff of Nottingham’s ghost at the Galleries of Justice. Other countries they’ll explore during their global adventures include Wales, Norway, Poland, Ukraine and Estonia. The team is joined by new member Scott Tepperman, as well as Ghost Hunter Academy winners Susan Slaughter and Karl Pfeiffer.”

“A family vacation at a quiet mountain town turns to terror when their newborn is kidnapped by a goblin. Then it’s up to the infant’s older half-sister to come to the rescue . Battlestar Galactica’s Donnelly Rhodes stars.”

“Based on the Stephen King novella The Colorado Kid, the series centers on FBI agent Audrey Parker, played by Jericho’s Emily Rose, as she arrives in the small town of Haven, Maine, to look into the murder of a local ex-con. What seems like a routine case lands her in the middle of events in the town, which is a refuge for people with a range of supernatural abilities. Haven also stars Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour.”

Inside Secret Government Warehouses: Shocking Revelations

“Inspired by Syfy’s hit series Warehouse 13, award-winning NBC News journalist Lester Holt goes on a global expedition, traveling from Area 51 in Nevada to the Vatican’s secret archives to unlock the secrets of some of the world’s most mysterious warehouses.”

Jack Hunter and the Lost Treasure of Ugarit

“Warehouse 13’s Joanne Kelly stars in this adventure flick about a fortune hunter named Jack Hunter who’s looking in Syria for ancient treasure that may be cursed.”

Lake Placid 3

“Eureka’s Colin Ferguson directs and stars in the sequel to Lake Placid 2. When a game warden, his wife and their young son move to Lake Placid, things are nice and placid for about three years. That is, until the baby crocs the son has been feeding as pets grow up and decide the family looks mighty tasty.”

“When a group of adventurers go looking for a Spanish conquistador artifact, what they find is that the jungle around them is a single living being, and it doesn’t want them there.”

Mary Knows Best

“Kicking off Syfy’s Thursday night reality block, Mary Knows Best follows Mary Occhino, a successful radio host, psychic intuitive and mother of three. The docu-soap explores life with Mary and the oddball cast of characters that make up her family.”

“Merlin has a third season in the works.”

The Phantom

“This modern-day re-imagining of the comic book follows Kit Walker (Ryan Carnes), the son of The Phantom, who ends up with his father’s iconic ring. In the tale, Kit is targeted by the deadly Singh crime syndicate, who hope to stop the ascension of the next Phantom. Add in Isabella Rossellini as Lithia, the head of an experimental mind-control program, and you have one interesting miniseries. This mini was directed by The Last Templar’s Paolo Barzman and stars Sandrine Holt and Cameron Goodman. ”

Princess of Mars

“This Syfy movie adapts Edgar Rice Burroughs novel and takes Antonio Sabato Jr. and Traci Lords on an adventure about a U.S. soldier who is mysteriously transported to Mars in the midst of a war between two alien races.”

Stargate Universe

“Stargate Universe has been renewed for a second season, which is set to premiere in the fall.”

Stonehenge Apocalypse

“When the ancient sandstone pillars of Stonehenge start to move, the earth begins to shake, rattle and roll. It’s up to a fringe radio talk show host played by Misha Collins (Supernatural) to realize that the ancient monument is actually alien technology, perhaps even an alien terraforming machine. And then, of course, he has to save the world. CSI NY’s Hill Harper also stars.”

Warehouse 13

“WH13 returns and Artie, who appeared to have died in an explosion at the end of last season, will return in an unusual way. With the season-one finale leaving just about everyone in a tough situation, look for lots of surprises to get them back in the supernatural artifact-hunting business. This season, love will bloom and there will be a Eureka crossover with Douglas Fargo (Neil Grayston) when he installs a new Global Dynamics computer system at the warehouse. Nolan Gerard Funk joins the cast as a romantic interest for Claudia, while Lindsay Wagner and Tia Carrere guest-star.”

Pat… TNT had a series called Falling Skies where the aliens were attaching things to the kids that was turning them into aliens. I can’t think of anything like that on Syfy….

Last summer you had a short fill-in series of aliens and they capture the children and turn them into aliens.
I can’t remember the name of it but will it be back on anytime soon?
