For the Nina Dobrev fan out there, we all may enjoy watching her performances in The Vampire Diaries on The CW, but now you’ll get a bit more from her on the big screen. Nina Dobrev has landed a role in the action thriller movie, whose title is being reported as Deathgames, which is being directed by Johnah Loop. (Other references to the movie have the title of the movie as The Killing Game. Media is reporting it one way, IMDb, another.)
Deathgames / The Killing Game stars Kellan Lutz (Twilight, New Moon) and Samuel L. Jackson (Iron Man 2) and Daniel Dae Kim (Lost) and Nina is not the only new cast member for the project. James Remar (Dexter) and Derek Mears (Friday the 13th) have also joined the cast.
Nina Dobrev is playing Lutz’s wife in the movie.
Previously, we’ve seen Nina in guest roles in TV series like The Border, Eleventh Hour and regularly on Degrassi: The Next Generation, as Mia Jones.
Her past movies have included Away from Here, Fugitive Pieces & Chloe.
She has what appears to be a role in the upcoming movies The Roommate*, & American Empire, the latter due out in 2011. American Empire seems to be categorized under everything… comedy, action, drama, thriller, etc., and is about “A beautiful young woman and her grunge-looking yet ultra-efficient hit man boyfriend race against time to forestall having to kill two friends falsely accused of “delusions of grandeur” and daring to steal from a new world crime boss.”
I can see the action, but more the comedy to American Empire! *I see no mention of Nina in IMDb for Roommate.
Presently, as you all are more than likely acutely aware, Nina is starring in The Vampire Diaries with Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder and Steven R. McQueen. (Yes, Steve McQueen’s grandson.)
