THIS MEANS WAR Blu-ray DVD movie review

This Means War is a comedy action movie starring Chris Pine, Tom Hardy and Reese Witherspoon.  It’s about two spies who fall for and fight over the same girl.  Oh what bad timing!

In This Means War, FDR Foster (Pine) is a good looking, play the field, kind of guy and Tuck (Hardy) is a love-lorn, honorable divorcee who hasn’t dated in a while.  They’re both top-notch spies.

Then Tuck meets a girl and gets all agog about her.  But then through some terrible timing, FDR meets her too.

As they discover that they’re both dating the same girl, though they agree to be honorable about it, well, you know how it goes.

Then there’s Lauren, (Witherspoon), who is a little uncomfortable with the idea of dating two guys at once, but her friend “coaches” her through this “traumatic” ordeal of dating two hot men.

I’m not normally drawn to comedies, but Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment provided the review discs and to be honest, it cracked me up.

It was spy-based humor as these two agents pulled their tech hijinks on each other and as it kept going and escalating, it just seemed to get funnier as it went.

And to add to the situation, Lauren’s buddy, Trish (Chelsea Handler), just has timeless advice that adds to the humor.

This is a comedy, not a spy movie, so the film is a bit light on the execution of the spy action, but it’s good enough.  And the humor fills it all in.  And the primary cast is just plain hot.

And when you pick up the  This Means War [Blu-ray]  from Amazon, you get some great extras that are just as funny as the movie…  (The movie came out on disc earlier this week.)
