If anyone was wondering if I watched Three Rivers last night, in a word, no.
I love Mandy Patinkin’s work. I love Alex O’Loughlin’s work. The ads for the episode looked incredibly touching. I’m trying to like Three Rivers, but I have to take a moment, step back and say,
“Hey, the consultants for Three Rivers need to be replaced.”
Why?
ALS patients cannot donate organs because so little is known about ALS and it’s threat to organ recipients. My wife’s mother wanted to donate her organs, but was denied that request, due to having ALS. It was irresponsible of the show to not do their research about the illness; therefore I did not watch this Three Rivers episode. It’s upsetting to think that they are putting information out there about this devastating disease that is incorrect.
It’s as simple as that and the consultants overlooked this aspect of the story and it’s a massive shame on them.
ALS patients who are interested, can donate postmortem tissue for study & research to help further the discovery of this cause if this life robbing and cruel malady.
