It’s bad enough that movies are coming out based on board games like Battleship and Monopoly… yes, Monopoly.
But I came across an article from earlier this year that the movie Robosapien: Rebooted is in post production.
Yep, your kids toy, Robosapien will be getting larger than life!
It’s basically about a robot that was originally designed for search and rescue, whose technology is swapped out for military purposes. The inventor reprograms the robot to run away, and the rest is a story about a child, a robot and evil corporate entities.
Supposedly it was due for release sometime in 2009, but I haven’t heard word on this and 2009 is coming to a close pretty quickly.
But if I look up the entry in IMDB, it indicates an Australian release in 2010.
It is reported to be written by Marvel’s Avi ARad and Max Botkin and directed by Sean McNamara.
Is it me, or does this sound like a no-starter or direct to DVD mega non-hit? The movie synopsis and a poster is located over on the site called Quiet Earth.
If interested, the Quiet Earth site link is in my reference section.
