When I was hitting up the movie theater last week for The Cabin in the Woods, I caught a couple of trailers for movies that had me sit up and pay attention. One was Looper, the other movie was Savages.
Looper
First up, I had heard that the Looper movie trailer hit the web, but I figured all the fanfare was just towing the line hype and I actually didn’t look into this time traveling sci-fi action flick.
But the trailer looks pretty fascinating! And the Looper cast has some great actors I’ve enjoyed in the past, with Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, Jeff Daniels, Piper Perabo, Paul Dano & Garret Dillahunt.
If you care, the director is Rian Johnson, whose notable credits include The Brothers Bloom and Brick. He has several awards under his belt from Brick.
Looper is due out in theaters on September 28th, 2012. Check it out:

Savages
Savages is another movie trailer that got my attention, and this movie is full of cast we all like to see, particularly Blake Lively, who seems to get rather lively in this movie trailer…
Other cast includes Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, Aaron Johnson, John Travolta, Salma Hayek, Uma Thurman, Trevor Donovan & Benicio Del Toro.
This looks like it could be a great popcorn action flick, as it’s directed by Oliver Stone and is due out in theaters on July 6th 2012.
