Transformers 3 Ship On The Moon – Some Conjecture It’s Omega Supreme!

In the middle of December I had tried pondering what was up with the ship on the moon in the trailer for Michael Bay’s third installment of his vision of the Transformers franchise called Transformers: Dark of the Moon.  (Transformers 3 for reference.)

Transformers 3 Shipwreck on Moon, The Ark and or Omega Supreme

Back then I conjectured (with some help) that the moon shipwreck was the Ark and more than likely, this was the third rendition of the Ark.  It used to be Optimus Prime’s ship but it changed hands a few times.  My focus was on the Transformer inside the ship and I pondered if it could be Rodimus or Alpha Trion.  But I never pondered the Ark itself.  I had assumed the Ark, having been the warship of Optimus, was just a ship. Yet we’ve seen larger entities that gobble up smaller entities to be larger things, specifically larger Decepticons.

The newest theory I’ve seen, if I understand it right, is saying that the Ark is an Omega Supreme.

Now Omega Supreme, being eleven million years old (in one rendition of the franchise history), was used by the Quintessons to act as a factory to produce robotic slaves.  (That could be bad)  But also in the history of the franchise, Omega Supreme did travel to the moon, and later had crash landed on a moon of Saturn.  His crash landing was such that he had used all his energy to get to that moon and he could not transform and thus, crash landed and stayed in his alternate mode until his Autobot companions could find the power crystals necessary to help him gain the energy to power up again and transform.

A little bit later in this franchise time frame, Omega battles Shockwave.  I find that an interesting clue, being as how the rumors are that Shockwave is in Transformers 3.  But now I’m headed down the road of if this is correct, could the golden Transformer inside the ship in the movie trailer possibly be Monstructor?

Transformers: Dark of the Moon movie trailer No. 1:

Ahh…. I’m going outside my realm of knowledge on the Transformers franchise here so that’s where I’m going to leave this conjecture and we’ll see where we go from here!

If anyone has any thoughts, I’d love to hear them!  Transformers: Dark of the Moon open in theaters July 1, 2011.
