Transformers: The Dark of the Moon
When the word leaked out on the full title of Transformers 3, the title for Michael Bay’s movie, I believe some websites trusted sources, but sometimes I still like to be conservative on the issue.
Now I discovered that the website TFW2005, in a round-about but insightful way, may have just confirmed the movie title. They’ve discovered that Hasbro Inc. filed for a federal trademark registration in September for some toys, games and playthings for the phrase “Dark of the Moon.” Add this to some novels coming out in 2011 with Dark of the Moon in their titles, and it all but seems pseudo confirmed that the title of the movie will be Transformers 3: The Dark of the Moon, or to be exact Transformers: The Dark of the Moon.
This seems all but gospel evidence for the title. Being the suspicious creature I tend to be, I’ll breathe a sigh of relief when it’s officially announced by Michael Bay.
With that said, here’s some new (for BruSimm) stuff that I’ve discovered (Spoilers after the break):
- Characters that die stay dead
- As a trilogy, it really ends.
- The villain is Shockwave
- The movie features a space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA
- They aim to upgrade the franchise with a more coherent story and less goofball humor
Hmm, to be honest, the goofball humor grew on me with each repeated viewing. I really hope it isn’t too toned down.
Another Transformers 3 Plot Spoiler
There’s also a spoiler on a piece of the plot where someone saw them filming a scene where a news anchor is filing a report on the exile of the Autobots.
Here’s the gist of the script that’s in the news item in the movie:
“It’s been a remarkable series of events this morning at the Capitol, after the UN’s defiant gesture of support, Congress was quick to react calling for an emergency vote of its own. A few moments ago, legislation was passed to exile the Autobots from American soil. US military alliance with them is officially over. The US military remains at its highest level of alert and says it remains prepared to fight.”
That’s it for now gang!
