Transformers 3 from Michael Bay

Here we are, calling is as we see it… again!  On Oct 18th, news of the hypothesized plot for the Michael Bay directed Transformers 3 movie, called Transformers: The Dark of the Moon was supposedly discovered by the website TFW2005 when they unveiled a description of a book from Reader’s Digest on Amazon.  Again, this site hit the target and passed the word to all.  The book is Transformers 3 Push-Pops Board Book and the product description in the editorial review section spells out an outline.  It seems a bit weak only in as much as it only seems to reference everything we could have already pull together from every set picture, toy, cast announcement and hinted at outline of Transformers 3.  It actually just feels like a generic and predictable outline of what’s to come and we could have all predicted the same at this point in time. (Note:  I’m am in no way knocking the gang at TFW2005.  They did an awesome job catching this when they did!)

Keep in mind, no one has officially released anything from DreamWorks as to the title and plot.  Everything, including the title are all highly educated guesses.  (The title was also derived by TFW2005).

Here’s the description of the book from Amazon, as TFW2005 has pointed out.  (I keep pointing it out because some sites are forgetting to credit them for the find):

OK, sure, technically there it may be that SPOILERS are possibly distributed here!

The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth. Three spreads of this colorful book feature large fold-out panels that reveal panoramic battle scenes and towering Transformers. Three of the spreads also feature dramatic pop-ups that put readers right in the middle of all the action.

Transformers: The Dark of the Moon (Transformers 3) screenplay was written by Ehren Kruger.  Kruger’s past writing experience includes The Brothers Grimm, The Ring, The Ring Two & Scream 3.

Film Editors:

Roger Barton has worked on The A-Team, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Eragon & Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the SithWilliam Goldenberg has worked on The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Gone Baby Gone & National TreasureJoel Negron has The Karate Kid, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen & The Unborn under his belt.

Transformers 3 coming soon from Michael Bay

I only mention editors because until I got in the right mindset for watching Transformers 2, there were some glaring disconnects between scenes.  Yet with time and viewings, I got over.  But thought I’d just toss that out there.

New Development on Transformers Book

I’ve been sitting on this article all day long waiting to publish.  Just before hitting the infamous “publish” button this evening, I went to check on this book that the gang at TFW2005 had located and the product has been pulled.  I snagged the complete description from the editorial review earlier today (whew!) but now, poof!, all gone.  The page that the item was at is no longer there and searching Amazon.com turns up nada!  Makes me wonder  and makes it feel as if the book may have given something up that no one wanted known!  Well, there you have it… websites don’t pull products for nothing!  Though I’m still in the bandwagon that the description is nothing new to know!  Good job guys!
