I just caught a short bit about the Chilean mine workers are just a few days away from getting out of their darkened home away from home. An escape shaft has been drilled and now workers are dropping some metal tubes down the hole to reinforce the escape shaft.

Today, the estimate is that they’ll start removing miners, one at a time, starting Wednesday, using an installed pulley system.

The 33 miners have been trapped where they’re at, since August 5th.

Good news for thos guys. [VoA News]
