‘Trollhunter’ Movie Trailer

Right now, (when this article went live at 11:45 am, 6/3/11*), I’m in a movie theater and I expect I am fully enjoying myself watching the 2 hr and 20 minute sci fi mutant character film, X-Men: First Class. From the sounds of things, I’ll be enjoying it.  While I’m sitting around watching an epic X-Men movie, (I presume), I thought I’d set my site to spit something up and stay busy while I’m out goofing off.

I was cruising the Yahoo Movie Trailers website looking for something else and saw this title and just had to click. It was like a train wreck… I couldn’t help myself. This is my Cinema Static fun trailer for the day.

Trollhunter is a 90-minute PG-13 joy ride of … well, troll hunting it looks like.

The all-star cast… (Well, they all are starring in the movie) consists of Johanna Morch, Tomas Alf Larsen, Otto Jespersen, Knut Naerum and Robert Stoltenberg in this movie directed by Andre Ovredal.

The synopsis/summary goes as follows:

“A group of students investigate a series of mysterious bear killings, but learns that there are much more dangerous things going on. They start to follow a mysterious hunter, learning that he is actually a troll hunter.”

Honestly, I never thought trolls got that big and the effects look pretty cool. Plus, over on IMDb, with almost 7,000 votes, it has a 7/10 rating.

That has to say something for it! Check out the movie trailer for Trollhunter, produced by Filmkameatene A/S and being distributed by Magnet Releasing:

On the bright side, NOT RELATED to the above, there’s a rumored animated feature from DreamWorks Animation titled Trollhunters that is being written and directed by Guillermo del Toro. Due out in 2015, if it gets off the ground!  (I’m just saying, with all the reporting of every little nuance of every little film these days, things that are in development aren’t set in concrete yet…  that’s how I look at these categories of movie titles.)

*A little bit about my site:  I tend to write up things overnight and set them to go live at intervals during the day.

THANKS for coming by!
