Sometimes when two companies merge, cool things can come from it. In this case, with the new Tron: Legacy movie, Disney cranked out some extra marketing by using their comic book wing of their empire, Marvel Comics, to garner a little attention for the sequel. In this case, they used several Marvel titles to showcase some Tron: Legacy variant covers. I mean heck, after dropping $4 billion on a company, it better come in handy somewhere!
Do you remember when DC used Fringe a while back and demonstrated some great DC variant covers in the Fringe universe? It was awesome, and so too are these variant titles!
First up is the cover from Invincible Iron Man #33:
-
Then they TRON-ified the lovely Ms. Marvel in the New Avengers #7 issue:
-
Of course, with Captain America: The First Avenger coming out soon, this ensemble would not be complete without Cap on the grid, the cover coming from Captain America #612:
-
Other covers include Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight and of course, Thor. It has me wondering, with all but two of these variants being titles headed to the silver screen, I have to ponder when we’ll be seeing Ms. Marvel or Spider-Woman on the silver screen? The Avengers? Or maybe something of their own? I’m just pondering out-loud. To check out the other covers, head on over to the Marvel variant covers article on Marvel.com.
Thanks for coming by and checking out these cool images!
