Alan Ball is the showrunner for HBO’s hit series, True Blood.
In a recent interview about the upcoming third season of True Blood, Alan mentions that there will be a character that is going to die and it will be a person that we feel deserved to go.
Am I blind? Which character deserves to go? I can’t think of one that deserves to go and is integral to the plot these days. Mayhaps it’s a new character that’s coming on board.
Speaking of coming on board, Marshall Allman (Prison Break, Lincoln’s son) will be joining the cast as Tommy Mickens, the younger brother of Sam Merlotte. (Sam Trammell).
Dennis O’Hare is coming on as Russell Eddington, the Vampire King of Mississippi.
The yummy to look at Shannon Lucio will guest star, portraying Caroline Compton, the wife of Bill Compton.
I know that the studio was looking to also cast the middle aged character named Melinda Mickens. (Sam’s mom?)
They’re also looking to cast a hot one for the role of a mysterious beauty named Crystal Norris. She will apparently make one of the “alpha” males smitten with her.
Grant Bowler (Ugly Betty) has been cast, but for some reason he’s not letting on what character he’s playing.
That’s all the True Blood news I have for ya at this point in time my faithful readers!

UPDATE!: It’s a conspiracy. Right after I publish, new news comes out about casting. I just know it’s a conspiracy.
Theo Alexander has been cast as the vampire Talbot. That role that Grant Bowler was mum about is out: He’s cast as Coot, a menacing biker gang ring leader, whose also a werewolf.
