TV news

If you were a fan of Richard T. Jones when he was on TV’s Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, then you’re in luck because he’s landed the role of the Governor on Hawaii Five-0 on TV.

His role is that of the man who was Lt. Governor and how has to step up to the plate of Governor of Hawaii.

Mild Spoiler

And the character in the show, looks like, will be keeping a shorter leash on the Hawaii Five-0 team.  Wow, was that just a spoiler, considering how last season ended?

End Spoiler

I have to admit, I was surprised to the twisty ending of the first season of the show but also found it a rather brave direction.  Remember, Terry O’Quinn and Tom Sizemore have also joined the show.

Hawaii Five-0, starring Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim & Grace Park returns on Monday, Sept. 19th for their second season.

Movie News

Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights, & the ill-fated and never aired Wonder Woman TV movie pilot) has landed the role of Lady Jaye in the G.I. Joe movie sequel, which is being referred to as G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes. (I’m calling it G.I. Joe 2)

She’ll be joining Dwayne Johnson, Elodie Yung, DJ Cotrona and RZA in this movie sequel.

Though the first movie didn’t suck, it also didn’t grab me.  It was…  interesting and I didn’t mind renting it when it came to the pay channels. (If that tells you anything)

Let’s hope the next one is better.  Jon M. Chu is slated to direct whose directorial experience with action movies includes… um…      Justin Bieber: Never Say NeverStep Up 3D, Step Up 2: The Streets …  well, those are all dance movies, where I’m sure the action of dance isn’t unlike that of …  oh never mind.  This doesn’t look good!

The screenplay credits go to Rhett Reese (Monsters Inc., Zombieland) & Paul Wernick (Zombieland).

So at the moment, I’m not holding my breath.

As for Adrianne Palicki, you’ll most likely be seeing her next in the movie Red Dawn, whenever that comes out and in the final two episodes of Friday Night Lights 5th and final season, when it airs on NBC.
