On Saturday the shows in the big room start with Chuck, Fringe and the day closes out with Human Target. Sunday is the big WB day, with Smallville, Supernatural and Glee.  If you’re looking for something movie related, Hall H will be the place for sure.  For example, Tron: Legacy will be at Comic-Con 2010 in Hall H!

If you like even 1/2 of the shows listed below, you’re going to be getting antsy about 1/2 way through the day. Me, I pack 2 bagels, a decent sized baggie of Cheerios and water.

Here’s a Comic-Con Survival Tip from Cinema Static on Brusimm: If there’s a panel you want to go to, get there early enough to get a front section seat. If your favorite show isn’t the first panel up but is 2nd or 3rd, you can get to the room before the previous panel ends. Believe it or not, even if your favorite show is following a panel, not everyone at the previous panel will be staying for yours. I’m shocked every time 1/3 of the room empties for my panel. But that is the good news. The bad news is that there are even more people coming in or are already there waiting for the folks to leave.

Just as the panel before yours ends, it’s a calculated risk, but what’s worked for me is just GIT up there and snag a seat in the next section up. If you’re in the same room for a number of panels, this hop technique will have you in the front section in 2 to 4 panels. It works every time. But don’t get too close. If you’re too close, press photographers, tables, microphones and sometimes stage lights can get in the way. Also take note when you first come into the room where the rebroadcast camera is set up for the huge screens. You don’t want it between you and the stage.

Good luck to you in your weekend at Comic-Con if this is your first time. Veterans know the ropes plus their own tricks will get them through the weekend. Me, I’ve got a super-powered lens that will work from anywhere in the room, so I’m not too worried.

I have more to say with my Survival Tips for Comic-Con article.

Here’s what Ballroom 20 will be looking like through most of the weekend:

6:00-9:00p.m. WB preview of Nikita.

It’s either that, or treat myself to some sort of birthday bash!  Yep, been spending my last few birthdays running around like a chicken thinking it’s going to have it’s head cut off!  …  eh, why change now?

  • 1:00-2:00 p.m. Burn Notice.  Last year’s Burn Notice panel was a blasted hoot as they panel started out with videos with Michael explaining how to get to your favorite panel on time.  In involved somehow delaying the moderator for the previous panel so that would hold thing up, in your favor.  Bruce Campbell, Matt Nix, and Alfredo Barrios, Jr. will be there.  (Cinema Static Hint:  Last year Bruce [the other one, not me] kept giving out money to people who complemented him, despite saying he wasn’t going to.  Made note it was one of the more expensive panels he’s ever been to!)
  • 2:15-3:15 p.m. White Collar.  Stars Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, Marsha Thomason, Sharif Atkins and co-EP Jeff King will be in attendance.
  • 3:30-4:30 p.m. Psych – Series stars James Roday, Dulι Hill, Maggie Lawson, Tim Omundson, Kirsten Nelson, and Corbin Bernsen will be part of the panel.
  • 4:45-5:45 p.m.:  The Anti-Heroes of Showtime, Dexter, Californication & Weeds.  Michael C. Hall will be there, as will David Duchovny and Tom Kapinos and Weeds stars Mary-Louise Parker and Jenji Kohan
  • 6:00-7:00 p.m.Dexter panel with Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter & Desmond Harrington on hand!

  • 12:45–1:45 p.m. The Big Bang Theory: Wil Wheaton is moderating executive producers Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady along with stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar. Ballroom 20
  • 2:00–2:45 p.m. Bones: Creator and Executive Producer Hart Hanson and Star David Boreanaz— Hart Hanson and David Boreanaz will be on hand in Ballroom 20.

  • 10:00–10:45 a.m. Chuck: Executive producers and co-creators Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak, with stars Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski, Joshua Gomez, Ryan McPartlin, Mark Christopher Lawrence, Vik Sahay, Scott Krinsky with Sarah Lancaster and Adam Baldwin. (Cinema Static note: Watch for Adam Baldwin to steal the show… he’s got this fracking dry sense of humor that is perfect for panels.) Ballroom 20.
  • 11:00 – 11:45 p.m. Family Guy: Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green and more will be in Ballroom 20.
  • 11:45 – 12:30 p.m. The Cleveland Show: Join Seth MacFarlane, Mike Henry, Rich Appel, Sanaa Lathan, and Kevin Michael Richardson in Ballroom 20.

[Cinema Static Heads Up:  Watch for John Noble to steal the show.  He either comes in character, or he’s just kind of like that naturally.]
  • 4:15–5:00 p.m. The Vampire Diaries with Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Michael Trevino and Matt Davis in Ballroom 20!  (Cinema Static’s word from the wise:  If you like your hearing, bring ear plugs.  The girls screaming for hot guys I believe, hit some sort of scientifically unrecorded pitch and you lose your memory for several hours from that day!)
  • 5:15–6:15 p.m. Nikita Pilot Screening with stars Maggie Q, Shane West & Lyndsy Fonseca will be there in Ballroom 20.  (Cinema Static observation: Nikita is from Wonderland Sound and Vision which is McG’s production company… and we have a Maggie Q working for a McG? Names are getting shorter and shorter every day… the world of Twitter names!)
  • 6:15–7 p.m. Human Target: Mark Valley, Chi McBride & Jackie Earle Haley will be there. Yep, Ballroom 20!
