Upcoming CW Network Pilots

Previously I mentioned Tom Welling producing Hellcats, a show about cheerleaders.  In case cheerleaders aren’t your thing, The CW has a few other pilots lined up for your viewing torment or pleasure, depending on your perspective:

  • Hellcats (A dramedy that is set in the world of competitive college cheerleading)
  • Betwixt (about urban-based ‘changelings’ who are responsible for saving humans from evil),
  • HMS, a Hayden Panettiere-produced drama about med students at Harvard.  (Huh, could this be ER, the College Years?)
  • “Untitled Wyoming Project,” described as a family soap set on a horse farm in a small town in the Midwest.
  • Nikita, a new take on La Femme Nikita, where Nikita has gone rogue, and the secret org is training a new girl to take Nikita’s place.

Hellcats cast includes Ashley Tisdale (Donnie Darko, High School Musical 3: Senior Year), Alyson Michalka (Phil of the Future, Bandslam), Sharon Leal (Private Practice, Boston Public) & Matt Barr (Harper’s Island).

Betwixt cast includes David Gallagher (Played Simon in 7th Heaven), & Austin Robert Butler (Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, Life Unexpected)

Some of the HMS cast includes Steven Strait (City Island, 10,000 BC) & Sarah Jones (Sons of Anarchy, Big Love).

The “Wyoming project” rumored cast could include Alan Ruck (Extraordinary Measures) and Michael Hyatt (Fame remake).

I have nothing on the new Nikita yet.
