This last week or so, my wife has been tuning into the Nationals for the figure skating. These are the events that are setting the Olympic teams, so if you’re a fan of the sport and the Olympics, these are important.
The USPTS network is covering it all for the qualifiers. Right now they’ve got downhill skiing on. For us here in the Bay Area, it’s cable channel 187.
The problem starts when we look at the on-screen menu of our COMCAST schedule for USPTS, or NBC’s Universal Sports cable channel.
The menu will say something starts at 9 p.m., but when we tune in, the event is already 1/3 to 1/2 over!
It happened once, so I thought eh, whatever. But then it happened again a few nights later.
Now I know that the cable is the victim of the network in as much as what content they’re given to show about a show. If it’s blank info they get, we get blank info.
But when COMCAST tells me something is on at 8 and it started at 7 or 7:30, I send out a hearty grr from SoB!

Please televise the greatest of all track meets the Calif State High School track meet. It is great fun watching the kids compete rather than repeats of adults track meets. Then rerun it a couple of times to make sure I see it all.
It ran for 2 years on some channel & then stopped.
Please televise the greatest Calif track meet of all. The Calif State High Track for each year. Some channel ran it a couple of years ago. This better than repeats of adult track meets. It is great fun to watch the kids run.
I resend this as there was a posting I was typing too fast.
