Verizon vs. AT&T [Consumer]

These new AT&T ads that are knocking Verizon are interesting.  They make an interesting point, from their perspective.  But I find the ads annoying.

I’ve got Verizon Wireless.  I know people who use AT&T.  All too often, one of us always had coverage while the other didn’t.  Can you tell where I’m going with this?

In fact at Comic-Con 2009 in San Diego, I had a bunch of people need to borrow my phone to make calls because they were having some kind of problem with their iPhone.

Sure, I’ve got the Samsung Omnia smart phone.  It doesn’t have 1,000′s of apps made for it, but I’m getting by pretty good with what apps are made for plain ‘ol smart phonesI’m happy with my Samsung Omnia.  It eats up batteries much faster than a standard cell phone, but I’v adapted.

Sure, AT&T has the coolest phone, the iPhone.  Locked up under a contract that is.  And by the way, that contract that Apple has with AT&T, expires in 2010.  Gads, I wish they would break that phone out from under AT&T.  I’d snatch that phone up in a hot second.  But until then, I won’t go near it while it’s under AT&T.
