Veterans Day list of Freebies

Military veterans are a special breed.  Veterans Day is one way to commemorate our vets.  They are those shoved into situations most people would never dream themselves of being in.  And then, they make do with what’s been handed them and make something of it.

War after war, whether warranted or not, they are shoved into the spotlight and do what needs to get done, or deemed necessary by the Chief-of-Staff.

And for those veterans, they are appreciated for their service to their country.

The appreciation can be in the form of a free meal off a special menu, or discounted services from a store or an item offered up when normally one might not be.

Each org has their own special way of saying thanks on Veterans Day, which is on Monday, November 12th, 2012.  (And some orgs have events that start just before or they use the entire week to say thanks.)

Remember, bring ID.

KEEP IN MIND:  Some national chains say they are participating, but you should make sure to check with your local business to make sure they are participating.  I’d hate to see you get up, get out and get there and find out otherwise.  That would suck.

But regardless of the offering, they all mean to say one thing:

Thank you for your service to your country.
