Day in and day out, we tend to encounter videos via various video sites. When you think videos, I bet the first one that comes to mind is YouTube. Ans rightfully so… it’s the no. 1 video serving site out there. But If you’re curious how the various video sites are competing with each other, here’s a quick run down of the top three sites that serve up videos to web surfers:

- YouTube – 144M
- Vevo – 51M
- Hulu – 25M*

*An interesting note about the network owned Hulu is that it served up (were viewed) over a billion ads during January that went along with those 25 million video viewings.
This makes it the number 1 online ad platform and in my guesstimate, a very viable entity to online advertisers. It’s proving that we are willing to put up with ads and will probably pave the way for many more ads on many more fronts as the web evolves over time.
