Amongst my friends, I believe everyone knows I’d love to work for NASCAR in some function.
Of late, I came across a job opportunity that I’m not qualified for, but I thought I’d toss it out there for anyone who might be qaulified:
The job is located in the Los Angeles, CA NASCAR offices… (Yea, did you know they had offices in CA?) for a Managing Director, Entertainment Business Development.
The position will play a key role in generating exciting opportunities in the entertainment arena.
The ideal candidate will have:
-Bachelor’s Degree along with 8 to 10 years proven experience in business development, entertainment marketing, sales and/or consulting in the entertainment space. (Dang, that leaves me out!)
-Full knowledge of key entertainment industry and the ability to open doors. (Nope, not me.)
-Strong rolodex across the entire entertainment spectrum including theatrical/studios, producers, financiers, etc. (My rolodex is weak.)
-Proven experience negotiating and closing deals. (Got that.)
-Excellent presentation skills. (Got that.)
-Strong analytical skills. (Got that.)
-Creative / Out of the box thinker. (Got that.)
-Strong team orientation. (Got that.)
-The ability to travel up to 50% including weekends. (Totally got that.)
Well, I have 6 out of the 9 requirements, but the more important ones I miss.
If anyone is looking for this kind of job, check out NASCAR’s employment site!
Good luck!
