Who Was PARENTHOOD’s Franco Georgianna?

During the closing credits of tonight’s (10-23-14) episode of Parenthood, there was a quick note, In Memory of Franco Georgianna.

I’ve seen a few online notes saying that Parenthood has suddenly lost a member of their production family, including from actress Monica Potter on her Facebook account.

Franco’s IMDb resume indicates he worked in the art and prop departments for various projects, including Up in the Air, The Yellow Handkerchief, and I presume for Parenthood. (.imdb.)

There is also a Go Fund Me link to help his family in the time of need, as he has left behind a daughter Selena, and a son Franco Jr..

Our condolences to his friends, family and peers.

I started crying after reading this. Franco aka Frank, was like a father to me. I known him over 25 years before he passed. I grew up with his son and daughter. I am happy that he was a part life, my wedding and was able to meet my three kids. The hardest working man I have ever met.
