Why All Billboards Need To Be Electronic – Thank Tiger Woods [Sports]

With some sponsors starting to pull out of their contracts with Tiger Woods, some of them look like pretty expensive contracts.  Some companies have even wholly depended on Tiger Woods with their entire company image.  This includes many ads in various forms, including billboards.

I can’t help but wonder how expensive it’s going to be for a company like Accenture to change all their billboards around the nation?  How much labor will go into designing, painting and reconfiguring billboards.  I know this is a small drop in the overall bucket, but dang…

I think this goes a long way towards using electronic billboards.  Rather than manual labor outside, you just have a programmer draw up a new image and another programmer to switch the billboard network with one flip of a switch or two.

Regardless of how he’s looked at right now, like Donald Trump said, he’ll come back better than ever and I suspect he probably will.  Kobe Bryant came back bigger and better from his little debacle and that wasn’t small like cheating.  So I think he will.  Right now Nike says they’re sticking by him.  That’s good.  Hope nothing more keeps popping up for Tiger.

Come to think of it, after Tiger would kick everyone’s backside on the course, and then the next year be struggling on the same course, I have to wonder what outside influence was distracting him from his game.  (The golf game that is.)

(I wonder if Tiger ever met Carrie Prejean?  I’m just wondering out loud.)

Jay Leno made a funny the other night saying the girl count for Tiger is up to 13.   That’s 13 under par.  That was funny when I heard it.

That’s all I’m thinking at the moment.

I agree that the image we all have of Tiger is a good guy. I hope that is what is real, and not just perceived. I was married to a psychopath for 14 yrs. People that saw him daily would swear on their lives he was the nicest guy you
