Daytona has come and gone and now we’re looking ahead to the rest of the season, with only 3 more restrictor plate events for the rest of the season.
As you might be aware, the spoiler is making a comeback along with letting the drivers police themselves. (I’m still waiting to see how long that lasts.)
Now word on the street is that some owners are inquiring about keeping the wing on the Cup cars, at least when they go to the restrictor plate tracks.
They’ve spent an awful lot of time setting up their cars for Daytona so they have the research and numbers already in the books… so to speak.
This could be interesting, that’s for sure. I don’t have any objections to helping any of the teams save money in this economy, and not forcing them to conduct tests on the returning spoiler is one great step for that.
