WordPress Alert: WordPress 2.9.1 Is Out!

Alert to all WordPress Users:  WordPress 2.9.1 is out and in the wild!  If you’ve made the tragic or fatal error of installing version 2.9 and have been cussing a lot lately, GO GET 2.9.1 and UPGRADE.  upgrade yesterday!  Or not!

To be honest, no one is at fault for the greivous existence I’ve lived over the last few weeks.  S* happens!

Let’s see what my pain has been:

  • Publishing, though successful, gave me a blank page in response.
  • Adding links gave me a blank response page.
  • My control panels would disappear from the right side.
  • My right side columns would disappear.
  • Images would load, but not center, if they showed up.

At times, if FireFox didn’t work, Internet Explorer would.  If neither worked, then Google Chrome would work.

The wacky part of it all? – It worked flawlessly from about 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then start to degrade from there until around midnight when I couldn’t log in.  LOL.  I was getting certifiable I tell ya!

So look in your tools panel and git your sanity back!  (Cause it seems to be working a whole lot better on 2.9.1!)

Right now, the only thing I think is not working, is that the Post Tags is not auto filling in… but that’s only after about an hour of use.  It might work differently under IE or Chrome!  Or even my Beta Test version of Firefox…

You can download WordPress 2.9.1 or use the automatic upgrade feature from your Tools admin panel.

UPDATE:

Oh pickle. This was my 3rd post under 2.9.1 and I got the blank page after posting. Phhft!

UPDATE #2

It seems that at first, everything looked like it was going to be awesome, but the old bugs have crept in.  I’ve now been forced back to Google Chrome to post this update!

It seems my woes are still hovering over me.

Sometime in the near future we’re going to test if the version of Apache that’s on my server is the issue… it’s 3.x. I’ve seen word that might be the cause!
